Gaining Confidence with Liberty

Keira from Louisiana is a brave eleven-year-old who has spent a lot of time in the hospital over the past year and a half. Recently, when Keira went in for an appointment, her mom told her to grab a book from the shelf to read together. She grabbed Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims and her Liberty plush. As her mom filled out paperwork at the doctor’s office, Keira read peacefully, which was new for her. Over time as Keira kept reading, her confidence grew and she began to read more and more on her own. It was the first time she had done this, and her interest in reading has continued to grow ever since. Wonderful!
